Meet Team Pop: Miss S.

Favorite Celebs: Victoria Beckham (has the coolest hairstyles and clothes, ever!), Jimmy Fallon, Hugh Jackmen, Brad Pitt (I know, cliche, but the man can act!), Oprah, Jim Carey,Will Smith, etc.
TV Characters I Relate To: Serena (from Gossip Girl), Megan (from Privileged), and Carrie (from Sex and the City)

Guilty Pleasures: Channel 11, Starbucks, Panera Bread, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Frazier, Sex in the City, Will and Grace, and court tv.

Blue Man of the Hour: Watchmen's Dr. Manhattan

In the movie, Watchmen, one character for me stood out above the rest, Dr. Manhattan. He not only was a tall, blue handsome fellow, but his intelligence was uncanny and wise. Under that serious façade of a man, laid a heart of gold. He also appeared to be the most levelheaded of all the characters.

My three favorite quotes from Dr. Manhattan are:

Privileged? Or not?

Who’s heard of this new show on the CW called Privileged? The first season just ended, but I’m already hooked! It’s about this Megan Smith, a twenty-three-year old Yale graduate who is struggling to find her niche the world of journalism. One day Megan gets fired from her not so fabulous job in New York City and ends up working for a wealthy woman, by the name of Laurel in Palm Beach. Her job is to tutor Laurel’s two spoiled granddaughters, Rose and Sage. This in itself becomes quite the challenge, along with Megan falling love with Will, a billionaire playboy and her unstable family life.

Personally, I can relate to Megan. We’re the same age, have the same degree, love to write, we always put others before ourselves, optimistic, hard-working, career oriented women who are struggling to make something of ourselves. Oh yeah and we both have a Mac Book. haha

For those of you who have seen it, did you like it so far? Are you looking forward to next season’s surprises?

The Haunting in Connecticut….MODIFIED Sequal

I was psyched when I saw previews for The Haunting in Connecticut. Over the summer, I saw the documentary on the Discovery Channel and it was very interesting. I went to see the movie this weekend only to find out Hollywood once again has worked it’s creative “magic. In the documentary, there was no Reverend, the cousin came to live with the family later on, and the end was completely different. Come to think of it, a lot of the storyline was different. But I must say, the movie wasn’t half bad.

What did you think about the movie? And if you’ve seen the documentary or knew anything about it prior to it’s release, how do you feel about the changes?
